Famished Fridays: Taking it easy with Sabai Cafe


Here it is guys, a new series of Famished Fridays is here! I've decided to incorporate more illustrations. This also means I want to take more time to illustrate these pieces. One, to make sure that I can do them justice and two, because I have new projects underway that I can't wait to bring to you all. 

A huge thank you to the team at Sabai Cafe for taking the time to speak with me. I was so excited to talk to Angela Schilling from Five Thousand as well, what a small world. 

In a place dominated by so many Asian restaurants that have compromised their ingredients and techniques to suit Western taste buds, Yai and her family manage to whip up dishes that have won the hearts of the locals and still remain true to their heritage.  That takes skill, finesse, and a strong conviction. I can't recommend this place enough.
