DoorDash Mural
As part of our rebranding exercise for DoorDash, our Design Team believed strongly in the idea that our brand values and personality started from within, which led us to explore the office environment and think about how we might inspire and push our brand forward among our peers as they do their work each and every day.
My project was to create a mural for the main entry that reflected our product and ideals. Several concepts were created and mocked up for the entry way, one that showed our reach and expansion as well as how our product has helped and affected our Dashers and customers. Another concept involved the literal image of people ‘dashing to the door’ of our office entrance, showing our people of all ages and backgrounds.
After discussions with our VP of Design and CEO, we settled on a mural showing our three major groups that used our apps: Customers, Dashers, and Merchants. As well as our office employees at DoorDash, and our algorithm that worked in the background which I designed into our lovable robot.
The mural was painted in 2 weeks from start to finish by me. Some of my fellow design team members came over to take a break from their projects by helping me paint here and there. This project Was one of my best experiences by far.
